Canva’s the all-in-one tool that has the time-saving features you need. These five features will eliminate extra steps in your design process today.
I may be dating myself here, but me and Canva go way back. Eight years ago, I came across Canva in search of a tool that could create a simple Etsy storefront banner. Canva seemed special right from the get-go. There was nothing else like it, and while it wasn’t perfect, I stuck with it. Well, I guess others did too since it acquired 10 million users within its first five years. Pretty impressive!
Cut to 2022, I can’t imagine life without Canva. I’m thrilled that Canva is living up to its mission to empower everyone in the world to design anything and publish anywhere.
Every new app and integration added simplifies every step of your design process!
So, without further ado, here are five ways that Canva saves you extra steps when designing so you can:
1. Post directly to your social media platforms from Canva
Canva is always adding to their inventory of templates so that you can create stunning, perfectly sized, social media posts. Once your designs are ready, you can post them to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, messaging apps, and more! STEP ELIMINATED: You don’t need to download, then upload designs to your social media. Just publish through Canva, and share instantly.
2. Print your designs directly on Canva
Before this service, printing with a local print shop was hit or miss for me. Often times the printer didn’t follow my specs and stretched my design to fit the page. Sure, they’d reprint it again at no cost, but I hated all the wasted paper. But trust Canva to make printing less painful! They offer the same options that other print shops do. Plus, you can have it delivered to your home or pick it up in-store from one of their partners. Even better, Canva has a Happiness Guarantee where they offer to fix it, reprint it or refund it!
BONUS: Canva’s checkout process includes extra QA checks to make sure any graphics or important details don't get cut off, in turn, reducing the potential for errors.
STEPS ELIMINATED: Downloading your design, sourcing a local printer, and then sending the file over.
3. Remove backgrounds from your images
Canva’s background remover tool is good. So good that I no longer need to use Photoshop to remove backgrounds (like a messy countertop) from my images. Like magic, they’re ready to be placed onto any background - and Canva has thousands of those to choose from too.
STEP ELIMINATED: Editing images separately in Photoshop to remove background.
4. Create Smartmockups
I’ve talked about using Fiverr for product mockups, but the good news is that Canva has integrated with Smartmockups, a leader in product mockups and soon to be you’re your new best friend, especially if you’ve found yourself spending far too much time photographing your products!
STEP ELIMINATED: Rounds of product photography, plus the need to Photoshop images.
5. Generate a QR Code
I recently just learned that you can create custom QR codes on Canva to add to your designs! QR codes go on anything like business cards, posters, flyers, and take people directly to your website with one snap from their Smartphone.
STEP ELIMINATED: Using a QR generator to create a code, downloading the file and uploading it back into Canva to use in a design.
Canva is that perfect all-in-one tool that does it all. The price of Canva Pro is a steal when you consider what it would cost to pay for all these additional services on your own! Sign up today and start designing like a PRO for free!
